Omnes Capital invests in Heim Datacenter to build a European data center platform
A partnership rooted in shared values and a long-term ambition for European digital infrastructure
Heim Datacenter and Omnes Capital today announces an investment partnership to support the development of its European datacenter platform. The partnership brings together an experienced datacenter leadership team and a European infrastructure investor with a shared ambition to build a company ready for the next decade of cloud and AI.
The investment, led by Omnes Capital’s Digital Infrastructure team for its CEP2 fund, reflects Omnes Capital's strategy of partnering with experienced entrepreneurs to develop energy-efficient and low carbon data centers in central locations within or close to Europe’s major metropolitan areas. By investing in new infrastructure platforms at an early stage of development, Omnes seeks to support the creation of additional computing capacity in strategic locations, contributing to Europe's digital transformation and digital sovereignty.
Founded by Svein Atle Hagaseth and Tor Kristian Gyland, Heim is developing a platform to design, build, own and operate large-scale datacenters for hyperscale cloud and AI customers. Heim’s initial focus is across the Nordics, starting with its first datacenters in Finland with plans to grow throughout Europe. Both founders previously served as CEOs of Green Mountain, and together with Heim’s leadership team, they bring unparalleled datacenter execution capability to the market, having delivered more than 2.5 GW of capacity across Europe.
“From the beginning, we wanted Heim to be a company we could be proud of, both for what we build and how we treat people. Choosing our investment partner had to reflect that. In Omnes, we found people who share our values and our direction. They felt like part of the Heim family from our first conversations. That gives us a strong foundation as we build for the next decade and stay true to the reasons we started Heim.”

Heim is designing its platform around evolving customer requirements, including the power and cooling needs of AI, adaptable design and efficient use of energy. Assessing opportunities for heat reuse and working closely with local communities form part of early development work. The aim is infrastructure that can adapt as customers’ needs change, securing the right capacity at the right time in the right locations.
Omnes Capital’ investment will support the continued development of Heim’s team and organisation and help advance its projects. The partnership combines Heim’s commercial and delivery experience with Omnes’ experience in working alongside entrepreneurs to build businesses in the energy transition and digital infrastructure.
“Heim brings together an exceptional leadership team with a proven ability to develop, build and operate data center infrastructure at scale. Their experience, deep understanding of the Nordic market and long-term approach to building the business make them an ideal partner for Omnes. Together, we aim to develop a leading European platform that responds to growing demand for energy-efficient digital infrastructure meeting the highest operational and technical standards in the industry”
