EXOSUN raises 12 million euros from Omnes Capital, ADEME, Grand Sud-Ouest Capital and Aquitaine Expansion

To support its growth and strengthen its financial structure, EXOSUN performs a second funding round of 12 million euros. Omnes Capital (formerly Crédit Agricole Private Equity), present in the capital since 2009, participates in this round alongside new partners: ADEME, Grand Sud-Ouest Capital and Expansion Aquitaine, both subsidiaries of the banking group Crédit Agricole.

Founded in 2007, EXOSUN designs, develops and realizes solar power plants equipped with the ExotrackTM patented solar tracking systems.

EXOSUN’s board of directors welcomes the agreements reached, as EXOSUN ‘s President, Frederic Conchy comments: “The renewed confidence of Omnes Capital and the entry of regional funds from Crédit Agricole entities, Grand Sud-Ouest Capital and Expansion Aquitaine allow us to strengthen our relationship with local actors and our collaboration with a major bank, fuelling our international expansion.”

This synergy is enhanced by the commitment of ADEME as part of the French governmental initiative “Investments for the Future”. The goal of ADEME in contributing to the fundraising is to accelerate the creation of a French design and manufacturing industry of utility-scale solar trackers, with a high export potential. “The entrance of a public actor in the capital of EXOSUN demonstrates the willingness of the French State to focus on innovation and to promote the growth of the French industry”, adds Frederic Conchy.

This second fundraising, taken after two years of difficult circumstances, will give the company a level of capital in line with its growth ambition. “With the knowledge acquired and technical expertise, EXOSUN will be implementing simultaneously a consolidation of its national presence and an international expansion while maintaining its involvement in R&D to reduce the cost of the solar KWh”, says Frederic Conchy.

Serge Savasta, Head of Renewable Energy activity at Omnes Capital, comments: “This new funding comes at a key stage in the development of the company. We are delighted to welcome our new partners at our side to support the growth of EXOSUN in France and abroad.”
