Covid-19: Cogepart, leader in home food delivery, mobilizes its forces to help the most vulnerable
In an unprecedented health crisis, Cogepart is setting up Mon Petit Livreur by Cogepart, a free delivery service for the most vulnerable quarantined households.
Cogepart is deploying a large-scale solidarity action throughout France’s national territory by making its 2,000 delivery drivers available to local trade and its network of large partner traders.
Aim: offering the elderly, vulnerable or isolated a supply of basic necessities of food and medical supplies.
Cogepart is also offering an initial donation of 10,000 free home deliveries to public utility associations providing assistance to vulnerable people.
Based in Marseille with outlets in 67 French cites, Cogepart is a leading player in the so-called "last mile" logistics market (delivery to end customer). Cogepart works with thousands of brands.
Framework technicalities: the association or the commercial partner registers the supplies on behalf of the beneficiary or their client on the "bycogepart.fr" site (My Little Deliverer section), delivery is scheduled for the following days. The Mon Petit Livreur operation is a basic supply service rather than urgent troubleshooting.
Deliveries are made safely; the package is dropped off outside the customer's door, without physical contact with the delivery person. The system is being launched in many French cities (Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Montpellier, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Nantes, Clermont-Ferrand, Angers, Rennes).
Jérôme Dor, Founding CEO, Cogepart: “In this context of crisis, the most vulnerable individuals or those affected by the virus find themselves isolated and hampered in carrying out their weekly shops for basic necessities, medicines, food etc. We want to join our efforts with those undertaken by the medical profession, the public authorities and private and personal initiatives to offer a service intended to break isolation. Mon petit livreur by Cogepart is an initiative that seems essential to me as a natural extension of our DNA."
Benjamin Arm, Managing Partner, Omnes: “Omnes invested into Cogepart in 2015. As a financial shareholder, we are more mobilized that even alongside our entrepreneurs. We are particularly proud of the solidarity initiative initiated by Jérôme Dor. We will do what is necessary to support him in this responsible approach which will allow us to collectively cross this unprecedented health crisis."
